Hail to freedom loving and struggling women of our world; supporters and activists of women’s rights in all human rights organizations and organs, foundations, communities, associations, groups and all women who endeavor for the rights of women in every part of our world

“Solidarity with Ashraf Women” page in the Facebook is dedicated to restoring the human rights of 1000 women who live in Camp Ashraf. It calls for support for Ashraf women who are threatened with violence, massacre and human catastrophe.

Camp Ashraf in Iraq, 70 kilometers from the Iranian border, is the residence of 3400 Iranian women and men who have spent a quarter century of their years of struggle for democracy in their homeland in this camp.

A thousand pioneering women live in Ashraf. They form the largest concentration of vanguards of equality movement. Some of these women have been students or graduates of universities in Europe, U.S., Canada and Iran. Many have been political prisoners of the mullahs’ regime in Iran who have spent an average of five years in prison under pressure and torture. Their struggle in the past three decades has been an aspiration for Iranian women and youth who long for freedom and equality.

In the past three decades, the Iranian Resistance has been in an all out war against the religious fascism of mullahs ruling Iran; a regime of gender apartheid. This monster, although fundamentalist and reactionary, uses the most modern technology for its machine of suppression and censorship. It employs governmental terrorism and terror tactics, but most of all it employs religious demagoguery which is a new phenomenon in history.

One thousand courageous and sacrificing women in the city of Ashraf with a mindset based on the most basic human values such as equality, liberty, freedom of choice and democracy have faced up to the mullahs’ regime. They have vowed never to desert their endeavors for the ideals of freedom, democracy and equality in any circumstance or unfavorable balance of power. They have vowed to fight with despotism and dictatorship in any shape until victory is achieved no matter what the price.

The Iraqi government, in its compact with Khamenei and Ahmadinejad who rule Iran, intends to massacre and obliterate the residents of Ashraf and evacuate this camp. In the past three years that protection of this camp has been transferred from U.S. forces to the Iraqi government, in two assaults in July 2009 and April 2011, using armored vehicles and lethal weapons, the Iraqis have carried out a massacre of unarmed residents of Ashraf, killing 47 – eight of whom women – and wounding hundreds. In the past two years, Ashraf women have

been subjected to round the clock insults by the Iraqi soldiers and elements of Iranian regime’s revolutionary guards.

The Iraqi government is planning to forcibly relocate Ashraf residents to a new prison in Camp Liberty that it is building. This compulsory relocation and detention has raised acute concerns within the international community. Women of Ashraf are particularly worried about a massacre and a humanitarian carnage.

We call on all of you freedom loving women of the world to support the defenseless women of Ashraf and protect them through a powerful campaign by courageous women and women rights activists throughout the world.

This support is shaped through letter writings, collective statements, contacting political and international organs including the White House, the U.S. State Department and Secretary Clinton, the United Nations and H.E. Ban Ki-moon, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and Honorable Antonio Guterres, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Honorable Navi Pillay, the European Union and High Representative Baroness Ashton, and any other avenue where international pressure and influence can avert this humanitarian catastrophe in Ashraf.

We are awaiting your supports to save Ashraf women.
